Thursday

This coming Thursday, October 28, is a big day for us. This is the day when our paperwork is presented to the court in Ethiopia, and when Baby A's birth parents appear in court to relinquish their parental rights. We should know something about our case on Thursday afternoon. We are praying for a positive ruling!! We also know, though, that often times, adoptive families do not pass court on the first try, and we are hopeful that if there are issues that need to be resolved, they will be finalized by the time that we are scheduled to appear, on November 26. Please pray that we get a phone call on Thursday with good news! We approach Thursday with a heavy heart, too, knowing that Baby's A's birth parents have made a very difficult decision, and taking this final step will not be easy for them.
